About The Position
Nurse Shadow Rate: $20/hour Seneca Health Care Center is looking to add a Nurse Shadow to its team. This position is designed for nursing students enrolled in the PN2 semester of an LPN program who are interested in gaining hands-on exposure to long-term care nursing. In this role, you'll observe licensed nurses, build clinical knowledge, and gain valuable insight into nursing practice while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in the PN2 semester of a NYS-approved LPN program
- Strong interest in pursuing a nursing career in long-term care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, dependable, and eager to learn
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Responsibilities
- Observe and shadow assigned LPNs and RNs during daily nursing activities
- Learn about nursing workflows, communication, documentation, and resident care processes
- Observe resident conditions and report observations to the assigned preceptor
- Review vital signs and other resident information under the guidance of the preceptor
- Assist with gathering supplies and supporting non-clinical tasks as directed
- Maintain resident privacy, confidentiality, and professional conduct at all times
- Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control practices
- Participate in learning opportunities to enhance nursing knowledge and professional development
