About The Position
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the healthcare industry, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to promote patient health and well-being. Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of nursing principles, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
- The required skills enable the nurse to perform thorough patient assessments, administer treatments safely, and document care accurately, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
- Effective communication skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize care delivery.
- Critical thinking and clinical judgment are applied daily to respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly.
Nice To Haves
- Hematology-Oncology Infusion experience.
- Oncology Certifications (ONS/OCNN or OCN).
- Experience working in specialized units.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in patient education or mentoring.
- Advanced certifications and familiarity with EHR systems enhance the nurse's ability to manage complex cases and utilize technology efficiently.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills support mentoring junior staff and fostering a supportive care environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather medical histories and current health status.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately while monitoring patient responses.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and institutional standards.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide critical care as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols.
- May be required to mix chemotherapy medication (for Oncology only).
