About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and manages individualized, patient-centered care focused on promoting and restoring health. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses patient needs, develops and implements appropriate plans of care, evaluates patient outcomes, and provides health education in accordance with established nursing standards.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS required

Responsibilities
- Coordinates care with the interdisciplinary treatment team throughout assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Performs physical examinations, health histories, nursing assessments, and routine patient observations.
- Provides direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, injections, IV infusions, and other treatment interventions.
- Safely operates standard critical care equipment.
- Recognizes and responds appropriately to life-threatening emergencies, including administering emergency medications and using defibrillation or other emergency treatments.
- Documents assessments, procedures, care provided, patient conditions, and responses to treatment.
- Updates individualized plans of care based on changes in patient condition and treatment response.
- Provides patient and family education regarding health conditions, medications, wellness, and follow-up care.
- Adheres to OSHA guidelines, safety standards, and established quality-control practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the department.
