About The Position

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and clinically strong Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our overnight team at Hillcrest Shadow Lake in Papillion, NE. Hillcrest Shadow Lake provides a welcoming senior living environment where residents receive personalized support while maintaining as much independence, choice, and connection as possible. As an overnight nurse, you will play an important role in helping residents remain safe, comfortable, and supported throughout the night. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Current Nebraska or compact-state RN or LPN license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to recognize and respond to changes in condition.
• Confidence with medication administration and treatments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide leadership and direction to direct-care team members.
• Strong attention to documentation and follow-through.
• Ability to remain calm and effective during urgent situations.
• Dependability and strong attendance.
• A team-first approach and willingness to help wherever needed.
• A genuine interest in supporting aging adults and their quality of life.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous nursing experience in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, post-acute care, hospital, or a similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing and clinical care based on each resident’s individual needs.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team as needed.
• Administer medications accurately and on time.
• Complete prescribed treatments and other nursing interventions.
• Support fall prevention and respond appropriately to incidents or changes in condition.
• Follow skin-care and pressure-injury prevention standards.
• Complete required assessments and nursing documentation accurately and timely.
• Review and follow individualized plans of care.
• Provide direction and support to Nurse Techs and other direct-care team members.
• Respond calmly and effectively to urgent or emergency situations.
• Communicate important updates during shift transitions.
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Follow infection-control, medication-management, and clinical safety procedures.
• Help maintain a calm, safe, and supportive overnight environment.
• Assist with additional nursing and clinical responsibilities as assigned.
• Safely assist residents with care needs, transfers, and mobility as needed.
• Perform repetitive sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift.
• Remain flexible and calm when supporting residents, families, and team members during stressful situations.
• Utilize electronic documentation systems and other healthcare technology.
• Follow established nursing, infection-control, medication, documentation, and safety procedures.
