About The Position

Carlyle Place is an Assisted Living Community in Bedford, NH, locally owned and operated, committed to providing personalized service and care. We are looking for a motivated and energetic Nurse (LPN or RN) with a passion for human kindness and wellness for life. This is a part-time position requiring every Thursday from 3p-11p, with an additional $2/hr shift differential.

Requirements

  • Must possess, at a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN/LPN program.
  • Must possess a current and active license to practice as an RN/LPN in the state of New Hampshire and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility

Responsibilities

  • Directing the functions of the nursing assistants
  • Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures of the facility
  • Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
  • Receive telephone orders from physicians and record on the Physician's Order Form
  • Chart all reports of accident/incidents involving residents.
  • Follow established procedures
  • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Ensure that narcotic records are accurate for your shift.
  • Review residents' charts for specific treatments, medication orders, diets, etc., as necessary.
  • Implement and maintain established nursing objectives and standards.
