This position is for Nurse Residents who are licensed Registered Nurses with less than one year of experience. The Nurse Resident will administer patient care in a hospital or inpatient/observation setting where acute care patients receive active treatment for injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, or post intervention with assessment. The Orlando Health Nurse Residency is a 12-month, ANCC accredited program that supports RNs with under one year of experience through structured training, preceptorship, monthly classes, and simulation to transition into independent practice. The Care Team is an Advanced Care track designed to give residents broad exposure so they can confidently grow into the specialty that fits them best. Residents will begin on a Med-Surg unit for foundational training, then have the opportunity to complete structured shadow rotations in advanced care areas such as the Emergency Department, Labor & Delivery, and Critical Care units. After rotations, the resident will fully transition into an advanced care unit for the remainder of the residency. Final placement is based on resident preference and demonstrated proficiency, as well as unit need.
