About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner provides primary care to patients following established standards and practices in collaboration with a physician in the clinic. This role is part of Saint Francis Healthcare System, which was founded in 1875 and has grown into a leading healthcare system in the region. Requirements

  • Graduate from accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse by the State of Missouri
  • BLS Certification
  • Three years' experience as a family nurse practitioner
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment
  • Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations
  • Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions
  • Ability to learn and efficiency utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs

Nice To Haves

  • Otolaryngology experience preferred
