About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner provides primary care to patients following established standards and practices in collaboration with a physician in the clinic. This role is part of Saint Francis Healthcare System, which was founded in 1875 and has grown into a leading healthcare system in the region. It serves over 715,000 people across five states, operating a 306-bed Medical Center, employing nearly 3,000 team members, and over 300 providers. Requirements
- Graduate from accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current license as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse by the State of Missouri
- BLS Certification
- Three years' experience as a family nurse practitioner
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment
- Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public
- Ability to maintain quality control standards and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations
- Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions
- Ability to learn and efficiency utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs
Nice To Haves
- Otolaryngology experience preferred
