About The Position

Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive patient care. This role involves patient examinations, assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and treatment of illnesses under established protocols. The Nurse Practitioner will also be involved in health promotion, patient teaching, referrals to other professionals, and assisting in the education of other health professionals. Additionally, the role requires participation in the revision of health maintenance and illness protocols, engagement in COMC activities and meetings, and commitment to continued education for professional development and licensure.

Requirements

  • Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Missouri.
  • Must be currently registered as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.
  • Requires a minimum of a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN).
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management.
  • Ability to work with accounting concepts.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient examinations, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and treatment of selected illnesses under protocols jointly adopted by nurse practitioner and physician.
  • Provide health promotion information and teaching thereof.
  • Make referral to other health professionals and agencies when indicated.
  • Assist in the further education of health professionals rotating through the Center.
  • Assist with the periodic revision of health maintenance protocols, illness protocols, counseling protocols with other providers.
  • Engage in COMC activities and attend COMC meetings as required.
  • Participate in continued education activities for professional development and retention of licensure.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
