About The Position

The ETSU College of Nursing, Office of Practice invites applications for a full-time Nurse Practitioner for the Johnson City Downtown Day Center, located in Johnson City, Tennessee, to help support growing healthcare needs, ensure continuity of care, timely access to services, chronic disease management, and support for vulnerable and underserved community members. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced primary care services in accordance with the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act. This role is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing both acute and chronic health conditions across the lifespan. The Nurse Practitioner maintains accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters and clinical services provided. The Nurse Practitioner provides supervision and guidance to assigned clinical and support staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient care environment. Participation in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities is an essential part of the role, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards. A strong commitment to health equity and the needs of vulnerable and underserved populations is central to this position, reflecting the clinic’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with preparation in advanced practice nursing (PMHNP, FNP, ANP, PNP or other specialty as required for position.)
  • Current unencumbered license as Registered Nurse in Tennessee or compact state.
  • National certification in appropriate area.
  • Certificate to fitness to prescribe.
  • Experience as specified for each position.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of experience in advanced practice nursing (FNP, ANP, PNP or other specialty as required for position.)
