About The Position

Athra Systems/Crosstown Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Physician Assistant (PA) with experience in addiction medicine to join their team. The clinician will provide comprehensive substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services, including assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment for individuals in a residential treatment setting. Responsibilities will also include completing history and physical examinations, managing medical follow-up care, and collaborating closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Board Certification as PMHNP/FNP/PA-C.
  • Active and unrestricted APRN license in Arizona
  • DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Arizona
  • Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience working as a PMHNP/FNP/PA-C is preferred.
  • Behavioral health or addiction treatment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive substance use disorder (SUD) evaluations and assessments for patients.
  • Complete history and physical examinations upon admission and as clinically indicated.
  • Provide ongoing medical follow-up and medication management for patients receiving SUD treatment services.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and recovery plans.
  • Prescribe and manage medications related to addiction treatment, detoxification, co-occurring psychiatric conditions, and overall patient wellness.
  • Provide supportive counseling, patient education, and relapse prevention interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain timely, detailed, and accurate patient documentation and medical records.
  • Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and interdisciplinary collaboration efforts.
  • Remain current on advancements in addiction medicine, behavioral health treatment, and evidence-based practices through continuing education and professional development.
