Nurse Practitioner (NP)- Part-Time
About The Position
The Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join their Medical Department. This role involves delivering compassionate and quality medical care to assigned residents in various settings including subacute, long term, rehab, and outpatient care. Responsibilities include examining residents, assisting with patient/family education, re-evaluating and modifying care plans, and maintaining proper documentation in resident charts. The Nurse Practitioner will report to the Medical Director or supervisory Attending Physician and work collaboratively with the health care team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program
- Active license as an NP in New York State, with prescriptive privileges
- NYS Board Certified is required
- Proficient in SigmaCare or another EMR (Electronic Medical Record) software
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a sub-acute or long term care facility
- Prior experience with the geriatric population is a plus
Responsibilities
