About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is hiring a permanent part-time Nurse Practitioner in the Lynchburg area. The role provides outpatient, office-based care for patients with opioid use disorder as part of Crossroads’ evidence-based medication-assisted treatment program. The Nurse Practitioner evaluates and manages patients, prescribes appropriate medications and treatments, documents care, collaborates with clinic staff on holistic care and referrals, and performs injections. Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure and authorization to practice in the state of practice.
• Primary specialty in Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, or Psychiatry.
• DEA Certificate of Registration in the state of practice, with authority to schedule medications in schedules 2, 2N, 3, 4, and 5.
• Must have or be eligible for enrollment for Medicaid and Medicare credentials.
• Additional education or certification may be required depending on the state of practice.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in addiction medicine, preferably treating patients with opioid use disorder and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in outpatient clinic settings.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on patient assessment.
• Complete medical documentation according to Crossroads standards.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic patient care, including referrals to other medical providers and community services.
• Perform injections.
