Provide advanced practice nursing care in collaboration with physicians. Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. Focus on complex cases, including cardiovascular and advanced heart failure patients. Practice autonomously within Louisiana scope-of-practice guidelines. Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Requirements
- Licensed APRN with a master’s degree in nursing
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Experience managing complex patient populations (cardiology preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Patient-focused mindset with a high standard of care
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and daily rounds
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop and adjust treatment plans based on patient response
- Educate patients and families on conditions and care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives
- Respond to acute changes and support emergency interventions
- Enhance outcomes for high-risk and chronic disease populations
