About The Position

Austin Health Partners (Cedar Park Pediatric & Family Medicine) is looking for an Experienced Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team! They will play a vital role in our goal to serve our patients, their families and support physicians in the community. Join us in keeping our families happy and healthy! Austin Health Partners is an independently-owned, physician-led pediatric and family medicine supergroup consisting of multiple care centers in the Austin area, including Cedar Park Pediatric & Family Medicine, Georgetown Pediatrics & Family Medicine, Treehouse Pediatrics, and Southwest Pediatric Associates, and more. Requirements

  • Unrestricted active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Texas license
  • 1 year FNP or PA Primary care work experience is required
  • Demonstrated computer skills with EMR experience preferred
  • DEA Registration upon hiring

Responsibilities

  • Provides patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of the designated supervising staff physician
  • Obtains medical and personal histories
  • Performs initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations
  • Educates patients and families
  • Prioritizes and assesses patients
  • Provides primary care through wellness visits and assessment
  • Same day Urgent Care visits
  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses to a variety of patients
  • Maintains standard universal precautions
  • Prescribes medications and completes treatments according to office policies and within age-specific parameters.
  • Maintains and completes all necessary patient record documentation
  • Assist Practice Manager in clinical skills guidance and training for clinical staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
