About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner will perform initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments. They will record findings of examinations, assessments, and the plan of care. The role involves performing minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures, writing appropriate prescriptions, and administering medications. The Nurse Practitioner will also order and interpret daily laboratory and radiology examinations, determine treatment plans for patients, and document all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in the patient's medical record. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner will act as a patient advocate, attend practice meetings, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures when requested.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.
  • Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms.
  • Must possess intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity.
  • Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

  • ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, PNP, or PNP-AC board certification preferred based population served.
