About The Position

OB-GYN Practice in need of an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP). The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing high quality care and treatment for patients in need of obstetrics or gynecology services. NPs perform a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and also enhance coordination of care and patient satisfaction. This role exemplifies professionalism, excellence and leadership in a clinical care setting. Experience in esthetic is a plus.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of health care planning and execution sufficient to provide effective patient care.
  • Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a clinic sufficient to provide effective patient care.
  • Thorough knowledge of office policies and procedures to accurately answer questions from patients and staff.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic equipment and procedures.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Knowledge and correct usage of medical terminology.
  • Ability to navigate and effectively use EMR.
  • Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions.
  • Ability to move and manipulate patients, as needed.

  • Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner studies required
  • Valid and unrestricted NP license in the state of Georgia required.
  • Experience operating office equipment and basic Word programs is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in esthetic is a plus.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, Microsoft Office, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology (preferred).
  • Knowledge and experience with Centricity EMR system is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years OB/GYN-centered experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered care that enhances patient satisfaction and ensures continuity of care.
  • Conduct physical exams and provide education and counseling on preventative care and family planning.
  • Provide OB/GYN-specific care such as evaluating and managing common gynecological conditions and prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, and write prescriptions.
  • Provide help and support to other clinical staff and/or physicians, as necessary.
