At Barnes-Jewish Hospital, you'll join a nationally recognized oncology team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care at one of the nation's leading academic medical centers. As part of the Inpatient Medical Oncology service, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Advanced Practice Providers, Hospitalists, and Oncology Attendings to provide comprehensive care for patients throughout their cancer treatment journey. Working within the renowned Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center, you'll have the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while practicing in an environment that combines cutting-edge research, innovative treatments, and compassionate, patient-centered care. Position Details: Inpatient Medical Oncology Schedule: Four (4) 10-hour day shifts per week (flexibility with making schedules) No Call! No Evenings! Requirements

  • Master's Degree - Nursing
  • <2 years experience
  • No Supervisor Experience
  • Licensed APRN in Missouri
  • National APRN Board Certifcatn
  • Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP- with appropriate experience)

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate - Nursing
  • 2-5 years experience
  • Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)

Responsibilities

  • Provides compassionate, appropriate, and effective patient and family-centered care for health recovery, illness prevention, treatment of critically ill, or end-of-life care.
  • Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs in an academic inpatient setting.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with patients, families, physicians, medical/surgical trainees, and other health professionals.
  • Demonstrates the highest level of accountability for professional practice by participating in professional development, quality initiative/performance activities, and implementing standards of care within area of specialization.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
