Requirements
- Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)
- Advanced communication skills
- Knowledge in research processes and program evaluation
- Knowledge in community development and facilitation strategies
- Enhanced knowledge of clinical assessment
- Enhanced knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses
- Knowledge in conflict resolution techniques
- Knowledge in leadership strategies
- Commitment to continued learning and professional development
- Therapeutic intervention skills relevant to the practice of the RN(NP) role
- Demonstrates leadership, confidence and autonomy in the RN (NP) role
- Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Three years fulltime experience as a Registered Nurse
Nice To Haves
- Community needs assessment/development and health promotion preferred
- One (1) year nursing experience in a primary health care setting preferred
- Minimum of two years Nurse Practitioner experience
