About The Position

Local Infusion is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner (NP) passionate about advancing infusion therapy care. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive working autonomously, possess strong IV skills, and have experience with biologic drugs. The Nurse Practitioner will be at the forefront of healthcare innovation, enjoying predictable hours, autonomy, and a manageable workload. The position involves remote supervision of RNs, chart audits, patient health status assessments, assisting with staff reviews and skill competency assessments, and communicating with referring providers. The role is remote, requiring the NP to be located in and licensed in Florida, with working hours varying from 4-8 hours per week based on needs.

Requirements

Board certified through ANCC or AANP
Current BLS CPR certification
Excellent IV skills (infusion therapy experience a plus)
Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Active, unrestricted NP license in the state of practice (Florida)
DEA registration required; Local Infusion will support obtaining or transferring registration to the practice location
State controlled substance registration as required by the state of practice

Experience starting IVs

Responsibilities

Provide remote supervision over group of RN’s, performing chart audits and reviewing adherence to company policies
Assess and document the health status of new patients
Assist with annual staff review process including skill competency assessments
Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers, such as order clarification, patient status, and plan of care
