About The Position
AFC Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join its team in San Diego, California. AFC operates walk-in urgent care centers that provide patient-centered care for acute illnesses and injuries, with on-site laboratory and X-ray services. The role involves treating patients of all ages and performing minor procedures. Scheduling options include 8–10 shifts monthly, typically 2–3 workdays per week, with 9–12-hour shifts. Center hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The position offers an hourly rate of $74–$78, additional biweekly bonuses based on patient-volume thresholds, and pre-approved overtime.
Requirements
- Unrestricted medical license in California.
- DEA certificate.
- FNP or ENP certificate.
- AANP or ANCC board certification.
- At least two years of experience in an emergency room, urgent care, or primary care setting.
- Ability to treat patients of all ages and comfort with minor procedures.
- Availability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients of all ages for acute illnesses and injuries in a walk-in urgent care setting.
- Perform minor procedures, such as suturing lacerations and draining abscesses.
