About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional cardiovascular care while supporting a positive patient experience. This is a clinical position that requires on-site attendance Monday through Friday. Typical office hours are between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM, depending on clinic and patient care needs.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current Nurse Practitioner certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB), maintained throughout employment.
Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of cardiology experience preferred.
Experience caring for patients in a fast-paced outpatient or hospital-based cardiovascular setting.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

Be eligible to provide reimbursable healthcare services and maintain active provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
Maintain eligibility to provide patient care services without sanctions, exclusions, or restrictions from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG) or the General Services Administration (GSA) exclusion lists.
Hold unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate clinical privileges.
Possess and maintain prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations.
Maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with authority to prescribe medications commonly used within the scope of practice.
