About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions. The role involves providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations. This specific position is within the Ambulatory Cardiac Arrhythmia Service.

Requirements

Licensed provider
Master's Degree Nursing required
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN-NP - State License]
Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings.
Ability to maintain quality control standards.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Nurse Practitioner 0-1 year preferred
Cardiology Experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
Orders medications and writes prescriptions in accordance with organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
Sees ambulatory follow up patients in the cardiac arrythmia service. Patients with arrythmias, pacemaker, ICD and pre and post procedure patients.
Clinic time will be 6 sessions per week with admin time built in.
