About The Position

Practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals to treat and manage patients’ health problems. Serves in various settings as a researcher, consultant, and patient advocate for individuals, families, groups, and communities. Performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and manages illness and disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral-level education as a nurse practitioner.
• Computer literacy.
• Current nurse practitioner certification.
• Eligible for or holds a certificate of fitness/prescription privileges.
• Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care within the nurse practitioner’s scope of practice, utilizing written protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Uses prescriptive authority, procedures, referrals, treatments, and theories in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Provides clinical leadership.
• Supports lifelong learning.
• Completes assigned goals.
