About The Position

This is a part-time position where the employee will provide on-site nurse practitioner services to inmates at QCHC's facilities. The role involves giving medical orders, documenting clinical encounters, participating in quality assurance and staff education, and coordinating with jail administration and other healthcare providers.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing required
• Must have current and valid CRNP
• Must have current, unencumbered license in the state of practice
• Current BLS certified

Nice To Haves

• 1-3 years of previous Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
• Experience working in corrections preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nurse practitioner services on-site to inmates at QCHC’s facilities.
• Give appropriate medical orders to direct medical and nursing care provided by QCHC nursing staff at sites.
• Document all clinical encounters in the medical record.
• Participate in the quality assurance, risk management, and staff education activities.
• Coordinate and communicate with jail administration as necessary.
• Participate in meetings with jail administration, Sheriffs, and/or other county officials as needed.
• Work with off-site healthcare providers as necessary.
