NURSE PRACTITIONER
About The Position
Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), has an immediate opening for a full-time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Stonington Institute provides substance abuse treatment options for adults in Southeastern Connecticut, offering medical detox and residential addictions treatment. Their Groton clinic provides partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. The Inn at Trails Corner is a new 180-bed sober living community for clients attending outpatient programs. Universal Health Services (UHS) is a large provider of hospital and healthcare services recognized by Fortune and Forbes.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in nursing
- Current State of Connecticut License
- Commitment to Client-Centered Care: compassionate, empathetic practitioners passionate about making a difference.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients and interdisciplinary team members.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year experience working in the Mental Health or Substance Abuse field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Interface with an inter-disciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, and mental health support staff to ensure client-centered, evidence-based, high-quality behavioral health services are provided.
- Travel between North Stonington and Groton locations.
