Part-Time Nurse Practitioner

School of American Ballet at Lincoln CenterNew York, NY
Onsite

About The Position

The School of American Ballet (SAB), founded by George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein and located at Lincoln Center, is the preeminent ballet school in the United States. SAB’s mission is to train professional dancers for careers in classical ballet while providing the resources necessary for a diverse student body to train at the highest level. Each year, 20–25 students go on to dance with New York City Ballet—SAB’s official but independent company—as well as other major ballet companies worldwide. Annually, SAB serves more than 1,000 students and has a far-reaching impact on the art form. During the Winter Term (September–June), approximately 60 Advanced Division students reside on site in the Meredith Willson Residence Hall, a facility shared with The Juilliard School. During SAB’s five-week Summer Course (June–July), approximately 200 middle and high school students reside on campus. The Department of Student Life supports the emotional, social, physical, cultural, intellectual, and academic well-being of SAB students. The department’s work is deeply integrated into the student experience and is designed to enhance artistic training by providing comprehensive support outside the studio. Core functional areas include Residence Life, Academics, Nutrition, Mental Health, Personal Development, and enforcement of the School’s Code of Conduct. The Part-Time Nurse Practitioner provides on-site pediatric and adolescent healthcare support to SAB students enrolled in the Winter Term Intermediate and Advanced Divisions (approximately 125 students) and the Summer Course (approximately 220 students). This role focuses on medical oversight, preventive care coordination, prescription management, health record tracking, and collaboration with Student Life, Residence Life, and Wellness staff. The Nurse Practitioner serves as a trusted, student-centered healthcare presence and supports SAB’s commitment to student safety, wellness, and holistic development. This is a part-time, non-exempt role, reporting to the Director of Student Life for Day Student and Wellness Integration.
