About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner will work at the Federal Correctional Complex Facility in Lompoc, California. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care, including health assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning, diagnostic testing, prescribing, patient education, and follow-up care. This is a 13-week local contract that can be renewed.
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner license.
- BLS card.
- Driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams and medical histories.
- Diagnose acute and chronic conditions and create individualized care plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
- Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness, and self-management.
- Provide patient follow-up care and monitor progress.
