About The Position

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Adult or Family Nurse Practitioners to provide care in correctional healthcare settings across Colorado. The role offers the opportunity to serve underserved populations in a collaborative, supportive, and mission-driven environment. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week. Compensation is competitive and based on experience, with flexible work environments across various Colorado locations.

Requirements

Active Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado.
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
Minimum of 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
Colorado DEA license with prescriptive authority.
Strong knowledge of clinical coding, billing, and ICD-10 standards.
Proficiency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and care planning.
Excellent critical-thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.

Nice To Haves

Nurse Practitioner experience in a correctional or hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and create personalized care plans.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging.
Conduct physical examinations and perform minor procedures, such as injections and spinal taps.
Prescribe medications and manage treatment regimens.
Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness, and treatment plans.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure integrated care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
Apply case management strategies to support continuity of care.
Stay informed about current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.
