We are searching for a Nurse Practitioner for OB/GYN — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will practice in an advanced role to provide care for obstetrics and/or gynecological patients. Includes but is not limited to outpatient roles in pre-natal care, well woman, and gynecology services as well as inpatient roles. The nurse practitioner (NP) works under a delineation of clinical privileges and works collaboratively with other members of the health care team. Practicing under established guidelines and clinical protocols, the NP assumes independent and interdependent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of treatment and procedures. As an advanced practice nurse, the NP is responsible for education, research, consultation and evaluation of clinical practice at various levels. This provider will float between the Pearland clinic and to Main Campus - Pavilion for Women. Qualifications: Required master's degree Science in Nursing -For employees hired with Texas Children’s before 03/01/17, an MSN is required for NPs licensed 01/01/03 or after. -For employees hired with Texas Children’s before 03/01/17, either an MSN or a certificate program is required for NPs licensed prior to 01/01/03. Required Licenses/Certifications o RN - Lic-Registered Nurses by the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact o NP - Nurse Practitioner by the Texas Board of Nursing o FNP - Cert-Family Nurse Practitioner by the Texas Board of Nursing OR WHNP-BC - Cert-Womens Health Care NP by the Texas Board of Nursing At least 2 years of experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery and at least 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience in OB/GYN, 3–5 years of experience in each area preferred.
