Requirements

  • Current Louisiana Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • DEA License
  • Excellent written and oral English
  • Minimum 3 years of emergency/urgent care experience
  • Occupational medicine experience
  • Knowledge of medical practice and occupational health
  • Knowledge of medical policies, regulations, and procedures
  • Skill in developing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining medical quality assurance and quality control standards.
  • Ability to react calmly, objectively, and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data if an effort is to evaluate clinical performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with Workers Compensation, DOT, and OSHA Regulated Exams desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the daily operations of the clinic while delivering high-quality, evidence-based healthcare.
  • Combining advanced clinical practice with operational oversight, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medication prescribing within regulatory standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols, managing staff performance, overseeing pharmacy and medical supply control, and driving continuous improvement through audits and reporting.
  • Playing a key role in occupational health case management, preventative health programs, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care and well-being.
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients at an advanced practice level, ensuring every interaction reflects best-in-class standards.
  • Prescribing medications confidently within regulatory guidelines, applying evidence-based practice and pharmacology knowledge to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Championing occupational health by managing rehabilitation, therapy, and return-to-work programs in collaboration with ES&H leadership.
  • Ensuring compliance and quality through quarterly internal audits, accurate medical record management, and adherence to client procedures and health standards.
  • Leading a dynamic team—manage performance appraisals, address disciplinary matters, and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Overseeing clinic operations including pharmacy security, medication control, and implementation of robust operating procedures.
  • Promoting health and well-being by implementing jobsite health plans, preventative medicine initiatives, and mental health programs.
  • Monitoring and reporting key metrics—from patient trends and diagnoses to staffing changes and well-being activities—through detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Engaging in strategic collaboration by leading meetings, mentoring staff, and building strong healthcare partnerships across the organization.
