About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner at Preferred Healthcare provides advanced clinical care, primarily focused on wound management and mobile patient services. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in [state].
  • National certification (e.g., AANP or ANCC) required.
  • Minimum 2 years of NP experience.
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work independently in mobile, field-based, or clinic environments while maintaining high-quality care standards.

  • wound care, home health, or mobile healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including wound evaluation, medical history, and physical exams.
  • Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans for wound care patients.
  • Provide direct patient care, including dressing changes, debridement, skin grafting, medication management, and education.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Conduct mobile or in-clinic visits, ensuring high-quality care in any setting.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and Preferred Healthcare policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and performance reviews.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on wound care management, prevention strategies, and self-care techniques.
  • Promote patient adherence to treatment plans and encourage active engagement in care.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to other healthcare team members.
  • Stay current with clinical best practices, continuing education, and wound care advancements.
  • Participate in clinical training and staff development initiatives.
