About The Position

CVS Health is hiring a part-time Regional Provider to deliver quality healthcare at MinuteClinic HealthHub locations in San Diego, California, and surrounding areas. This clinic-based role centers on high-quality, in-person patient care. Virtual visits may be conducted from the clinic during periods of lower onsite patient volume when they do not delay or interfere with in-person care. The stated schedule is weekday evenings, 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. or 4:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m.

MinuteClinic providers deliver affordable, accessible, comprehensive care with clinical support, collaborative resources, evidence-based guidelines, and assessment and treatment-planning tools. Providers are expected to practice at the top of their license, support positive patient outcomes, and complete charting and follow-up during scheduled shifts.

The role includes an hourly pay range of $70.50–$81.50 in San Diego, based on experience. The posting also lists a typical pay range of $46.03–$99.14 and states the position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program. This part-time position may be eligible, depending on hours worked and eligibility, for dental and vision benefits, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national board certification through AANP or ANCC.
• Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
• Obtain and maintain multistate licensure based on business needs.
• Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
• Ability to order and administer vaccines and injections, including COVID-19, influenza, TB testing, and Depo-Provera.
• Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
• Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required.
• Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to perform Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

• One year of Nurse Practitioner experience; qualified new graduates may be considered.
• Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.
• Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
• Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation, particularly for candidates with less than one year of provider experience.
• Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
• Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide in-person and virtual visits from the clinic to support positive patient health outcomes.
• Perform diagnostic testing, preventive counseling, and treatment of injuries and illnesses, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
• Engage patients in wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive health screenings.
• Complete clinic operations, including inventory management, clinic opening and closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection.
• Support a safe and efficient care environment through routine examinations and timely patient appointment management.
• Complete charting and follow-up during the scheduled shift.
