About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C, FNP-C, or ARNP) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Occupational Medicine, Orthopaedics and/or Pain Management. We fast-track applicants with training, certification and experience in Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals, placement physical examinations, OSHA respiratory clearance evaluations, and the evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic L&I injuries. This role is ideal for experienced professionals comfortable working independently, but we will train the right candidate. The clinic hours are 7 am-5 pm Monday-Thursday, with no Fridays, weekends, or call. The patient load is 75-80% injury care and 20-25% occupational exams and drug testing. The compensation is between $122,132 and $159,666 per year, which may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, and extra shift incentives. Providers may also have CME benefits available. The company offers comprehensive health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits. Occupational Medical Clinic of Tacoma deals exclusively with work-related healthcare, providing qualified care, faster service, and managing L&I paperwork. The clinic is located in Fife and offers work injury care, work illness care, drug testing, physical exams, immunizations, physical therapy, DOT exams and testing, respirator fit testing, worksite visits, OSHA compliance, group rates, and L&I case handling.

Requirements

  • Certified as a PA-C, FNP-C, or ARNP, with CURRENT WA STATE LICENSE
  • Current FMCSA certification preferred
  • Prefer candidate with at least 3 years of experience performing physical exams and pre-employment evaluations.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health regulations and OSHA guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Training, certification and experience in Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals, placement physical examinations, OSHA respiratory clearance evaluations, and the evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic L&I injuries.
  • Urgent Care, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Physical Medicine, Rehab, or Orthopaedics experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide acute injury care with a focus on musculoskeletal issues.
  • Conduct DOT and pre-placement physical exams.

  • Advise employers on workplace health and safety.
