About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner integrates an in-depth understanding of nursing with their legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform specific procedures for managing and treating illnesses and stable chronic conditions. This role involves operating within established nursing program objectives, guidelines, and policies; fostering partnerships; conducting community needs assessments; promoting inter-professional collaboration; and contributing to continuous improvements through evaluative processes and projects.
Requirements
- Five (5) years experience as a nurse practitioner
- Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
- Assessment knowledge
- Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions
- Ability to competently use computers and software applications
- Knowledge of diverse health issues, culture and traditions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Applicants must upload all relevant documents (ex: certificates, diplomas, proof of enrollment, licenses and/or memberships) relating to the qualifications of the position
- Those being interviewed are required to bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search
