About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking full-time Nurse Practitioners in the Newport area to provide outpatient care for patients with opioid use disorder. The organization provides evidence-based medication-assisted treatment and supports patients in their recovery. The position evaluates and manages patients, prescribes appropriate medications and treatments, completes medical documentation, collaborates with clinic staff on holistic care and referrals, and performs injections. Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure and authorization to practice in the state of practice.
• Primary specialty in Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, or Psychiatry.
• DEA Certificate of Registration in the state of practice, with the ability to schedule 2, 2N, 3, 4, and 5 medications.
• Must have or be eligible for enrollment for Medicaid and Medicare credentials.
• Additional education or certification may be required depending on the state of practice.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in addiction medicine, preferably treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in outpatient clinic settings.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on patient assessments.
• Complete medical documentation according to Crossroads standards.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic patient care, including referrals to other medical providers and community services.
• Perform injections.
