About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner will provide professional health care services for clients in an ambulatory clinic setting. This role requires a genuine desire to continuously learn and provide high-quality patient care, seeing ambulatory patients of the Center as scheduled and assigned. The Nurse Practitioner must maintain full privileges for the practice of clinical medicine at Family Health Center, abide by the ethics of the medical profession, and comply with all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances applicable to their practice. They will also participate in committees/work groups as assigned and may participate in quality improvement projects.

Requirements

• BA/BS
• Graduate of AMA accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current or pending FNP license
• Current CPR certification.
• Provide professional health care services for clients in an ambulatory clinic setting.
• Possess a valid Texas driver’s license and appropriate liability insurance.
• Visual and auditory accuracy.
• Indoor setting.
• Continuous use of computer.
• Extended periods of standing and/or sitting.
• Frequent use of telephone.
• Continuous repetitive grasping and manipulation of both hands.
• Continuous conversational communication.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25 lbs.
• Occasional walking, standing, squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching and twisting and climbing.
• Use of personal car occasionally.
• Working in confined areas.
• Understand/carry out simple/detailed, oral/written instructions.
• Memorize and retain instructions.
• Read and interpret detailed specifications.
