Requirements

  • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Adult- Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP).
  • Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work per diem shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established clinical protocols.
  • Handle administrative tasks as needed, including documentation and patient communication.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
