About The Position

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Urology is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our department. The successful candidate will independently evaluate new and follow-up patients in the urology clinic, conduct comprehensive assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with our team of urologists. The NP will play a vital role in gathering medical records and imaging, assisting with clinical trials, and ensuring continuity of care throughout the patient’s treatment journey.

Requirements

Current Nurse Practitioner state licensure
AANP certification
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Thorough understanding of evidence-based practices
California residency is required upon start date

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in urology or a related specialty preferred

Responsibilities

Independently evaluate new and follow-up patients in the urology clinic
Conduct comprehensive assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with our team of urologists
Patient education
Triaging urgent cases
Preparing preoperative history and physicals
Coordinating surgery scheduling
Assisting with clinical procedures such as cystoscopy
Maintaining accurate medical records
Following up on preoperative labs, urine cultures
Responding to patient inquiries
Gathering medical records and imaging
Assisting with clinical trials
Ensuring continuity of care throughout the patient’s treatment journey
