About The Position

Join Pyramid Healthcare as a PRN Nurse Practitioner supporting adult Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment at our Agawam, MA facility. In this role, you will provide client-centered medical care across residential and detox levels of care, working collaboratively with nursing, psychiatry, and primary care teams to help individuals achieve lasting recovery and improved health outcomes. Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner (NP/CRNP) license
  • National certification in good standing
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Addiction Medicine, Behavioral Health, or a related setting with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) exposure
  • Experience working within interdisciplinary treatment teams
  • Ability to work effectively in residential and/or detoxification settings

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and withdrawal management protocols
  • Familiarity with medication prior authorizations and cost-containment strategies
  • Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Participation in quality improvement or patient safety initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations (H&Ps) and ongoing medical evaluations; review laboratory results and monitor therapeutic levels
  • Manage acute medical concerns and sick calls; develop safe and compliant discharge and transition plans
  • Provide medical support for adult residential and detox programs; coordinate care with psychiatry and primary care providers
  • Optimize post-discharge medication regimens; assist with prior authorizations and cost-effective treatment planning
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Evaluate and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including buprenorphine, in accordance with credentialing requirements and state regulations, if applicable
