About The Position
The UCSF Neurology Program seeks a full time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to help support our program. The UCSF team consists of highly experienced physicians, surgeons, nurses, social workers, researchers and others. Our Neurology program is nationally known for cutting edge Neurology support in both the outpatient and inpatient setting and offers a variety of support systems (long-term and short-term). The APP will care for patients on the inpatient Neurology services at UCSF, Division of Neurology. Specific duties will include rounding with the inpatient team, answering pages from nurses, writing orders, writing notes (admit H and P, discharge summaries, significant event), evaluation and management of patients and working with care team members for discharges. Will also include evaluation and management for recently discharged patients as they are establishing outpatient care. This job will provide opportunity to gain skills in evaluating neurological patients, perform neurological examinations and manage neurology conditions as part of a team-based care model.
