Allina Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Endocrinology. The role provides patient care—including diagnosis, treatment, and consultation—as part of a physician/nurse team and in accordance with the designated specialty. The Nurse Practitioner works in inpatient and outpatient settings, independently or as part of a treatment team, and serves as an educator, case manager, and consultant to staff and the multidisciplinary health care team. The position provides clinical care and comprehensive patient assessments; determines diagnoses and treatments; orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with an attending physician; and prescribes medications, treatments, therapy, and medical equipment. The Nurse Practitioner educates patients managing chronic illness or seeking wellness care, refers patients for specialty care as appropriate, and consults with a physician when care needs exceed the Nurse Practitioner’s scope or the diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear. The role also promotes communication across the health care team, serves as a team resource, works with the primary care team on program development, liaises with outside agencies as needed, and consults and rounds with hospital staff when designated by the specialty. Other duties may be assigned. The position is based at 225 North Smith Avenue, Suite 300, Saint Paul, Minnesota. It is a 32-hour-per-week role with 10-hour shifts and no weekend rotation. The posted annual pay range is $129,400 to $145,000, reflecting the starting base pay range assuming a full-time FTE; starting pay depends on factors including experience, education, and any applicable union agreement.
