The Full-Time, 9-month Nurse Practitioner (NP) role provides comprehensive, evidence-based primary care services to enrolled Barnard College students within the Primary Care Health Service (PCHS) during the highest utilization period. The NP role delivers assessment, diagnosis, treatment, preventive services, procedures, and referrals in a high-functioning ambulatory college health setting. This role requires advanced clinical judgment, autonomy within New York State scope-of-practice regulations, and collaborative practice within an interdisciplinary team. The NP contributes to clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, student health clearance oversight, and quality improvement initiatives consistent with federal and state law, New York State public health requirements, and accreditation standards (AAAHC). The NP reports to the Assistant Vice President of Health & Wellness and collaborates closely with physicians, nursing leadership, behavioral health clinicians, and allied health staff to ensure coordinated, student-centered care.
