Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery is seeking an exceptional talent to join their outstanding clinical team as a Nurse Practitioner for the overnight shift. The Nurse Practitioner will practice medicine within the scope of licensure, training, and credentialing, adhering to current standards of care, Medicare guidelines, Joint Commission standards, state law, and hospital-adopted quality criteria.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program with a C.N.P. Degree
• Current License as an N.P. in the State of Tennessee
• BLS, ACLS Required
• Orthopedic or Neurosurgeon required
• Broad understanding of the needs of the surgical patient.
• Flexible, reliable, productive, patient oriented, self-motivated.

• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Practice medicine within the scope of licensure, training and credentialing according to the current standards of care, Medicare guidelines, Joint Commission standards, state law and quality criteria adopted by the hospital.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
• Remains calm and functions as a team leader during times of stress and crisis situations.
