About The Position
VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS), an industry leader in Correctional Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a PRN position at Mecklenburg County Detention Center North in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves providing ambulatory care within a correctional environment, working alongside healthcare professionals and security officers. The Nurse Practitioner will be supervised by a licensed Physician and will focus on meeting a variety of healthcare needs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college/university NP or PA program
- Must possess current NP license in North Carolina
- At least 1 year Experience in Correctional desired but not required or at least 3 years of NP experience in a non-correctional environment
Nice To Haves
- Acute care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the medical model to meet a variety of healthcare needs with ambulatory care as their primary focus in a correctional environment.
- Works with a variety of healthcare professionals/security officers in a correctional environment to provide basic medical services supervised by a licensed Physician.
