About The Position

This role involves working in collaboration with an attending physician to provide comprehensive health assessments and develop patient care plans. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for documenting patient information accurately and in a timely manner, providing patient and family education, and utilizing prescriptive authority. The ability to perform essential patient care functions in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision is expected.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year experience.
• Must be NYS licensed/registered NP (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice) or NYS licensed/registered or NCCPA certified or eligible Physician Assistant.
• Possession of Medicare NPI# or eligibility to apply for same.
• CPR and ACLS certification is required.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in an inpatient setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive health assessments.
• Develop a plan of care for the patient population in collaboration with the attending physician.
• Document subjective, objective data, assessment, and plan records in a consistent, legible, accurate, concise, and timely manner.
• Provide patient/family education.
• Utilize prescriptive authority in collaboration with the attending physician.
• Perform patient care functions needed in the acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision.
