About The Position
Fry Magnolia Clinic is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Nurse Practitioner to work in a rural community in Magnolia, MS. This role is within a Rural Health Clinic setting. The clinic is open Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5:00 pm. The Nurse Practitioner can expect to see 20-25 patients per day and will be responsible for providing primary healthcare to patients and families, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education and counseling. The role works under the direct supervision of a physician, following established guidelines and within the established scope of practice.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Mississippi
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program
- National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or certification eligible
- Current BCLS Certification
- Basic computer knowledge
- EMR knowledge
Nice To Haves
- Current ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire date.
Responsibilities
- Providing primary healthcare to patients and families, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education and counseling.
- Works under direct supervision of a physician following established guidelines as required and within established scope of practice.
- See all ages of patients.
- Perform minor office procedures.
- Apply casts and splints.
- Suture lacerations.
