About The Position

We are seeking an APP for Tanner Health’s Primary Care of West Paulding location. The provider will join a physician at the clinical site and report to the Executive Director of the Primary Care of West Paulding practice. Primary Care of West Paulding is part of Tanner Medical Group which consist of 42 individual practices and has approximately 270 total providers. This APP will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide services for patients with primary care issues in the clinic setting under the direction of their supervising physician. He/she will collaborate with other providers while conducting physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic issues, order and interpret diagnostic test including lab work and imaging studies, provide education and counseling to patients while maintaining medical records via EPIC EMR. Requirements

  • Completed Physician Assistant program in good standing or Master of Nursing with specialization in Nurse Practitioner
  • Currently hold or be able to obtain a Georgia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
  • Currently hold or be able to obtain a Board Certification as Nurse Practitioner
  • Able to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff and various populations in clinics and public screening events.
  • Graduate of a recognized program for Nurse Practitioner training (MSN).
  • Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians
  • Must maintain high degree of confidentiality.
  • Must meet credentialing criteria.
  • Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient medical records, physician orders and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital and/or other physician.
  • Must possess the sense or discipline to work in accordance with accepted clinical standards.
  • Six months of related experience
  • Georgia Nurse Practitioner License
  • Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse or Multistate Nursing License
  • Healthcare Provider (CPR)
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia

Nice To Haves

  • Open to New graduates or candidates with experience in related fields.
  • ACLS recommended.
  • Additional certification will be required for some specialties (i.e. ACLS, PALS)
  • Prior experience in a like specialty preferred.

Responsibilities
