About The Position

At Sinai Health System d/b/a Sinai Chicago, the Nurse Practitioner provides medical care and treatment for patients in the office in collaboration with a physician and under a Sinai physician’s care. The Nurse Practitioner works within a collaborative practice agreement with the designated physician(s) and is responsible for patient assessment and treatment. The role emphasizes health promotion, health maintenance, disease prevention, and the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. The Nurse Practitioner also participates in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement.

Requirements

• Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of two years of nursing experience in an outpatient clinical-based practice is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care and treatment for patients in the office in collaboration with a physician.
• Work within the collaborative practice agreement with the designated physician(s).
• Assess and treat patients.
• Emphasize health promotion, health maintenance, disease prevention, and diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases.
• Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement.
• Attend monthly provider meetings.
• Comply with standards and regulations of licensure, regulatory, and accrediting agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
