About The Position

The employee will be expected to provide nurse practitioner services on-site to inmates at QCHC’s facilities. This role involves giving appropriate medical orders to direct medical and nursing care provided by QCHC nursing staff at sites, documenting all clinical encounters in the medical record, and participating in quality assurance, risk management, and staff education activities. The Nurse Practitioner will also coordinate and communicate with jail administration as necessary, participate in meetings with jail administration, Sheriffs, and/or other county officials as needed, and work with off-site healthcare providers as necessary.

Requirements

Master's degree in Nursing required
Must have current and valid CRNP
Must have a current, unencumbered license in the state of practice
Current BLS certification

Nice To Haves

1-3 years of previous Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
Experience working in corrections preferred
