About The Position

The incumbent will provide specialized nursing care in our adult health programs including family planning, women’s health, sexually transmitted infections, and HIV PreExposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). The incumbent will function under a Public Health nurse protocols, diagnosing and treating patient, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary Public Health clinical team to optimize patient care. The NP will also provide guidance and support to RNs and LPNs working in the Health Department and may support other clinical areas such as immunizations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
• Certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing.
• Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Georgia license as an APRN.
• CPR certification.
• Copy of nursing degree transcripts.
• Copy of Georgia Nursing License.
• Copy of CPR card.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of registered nursing experience.
• One year of Public Health experience in Women's Health Services.
• Experience using electronic medical records & EMR systems.
• Ability to speak both English and Spanish.
